This is Sasha, the name given to her by the family who relinquished her to the local shelter with 2 other dogs they had. The people didn’t spend any time with the dogs causing Sasha to become unsocialized and afraid of people. The dogs sure love each other and were so happy to see each other again once they were out of the shelter and together again. But due to their fear issues, they need to be split up and put in homes with friendly confident dogs who can teach them there is no need to be afraid of people.
It’s been difficult to learn a lot about Sasha since so far we have not been able to get her to come to us. She wags her tail, she takes a treat from your hand and you can just tell how badly she wants to give in and become friendly, but it’s going to take time.
For these reasons, Sasha would be best in a calm quiet home, preferable with another small friendly confident dog that will teach her there is no reason to be afraid of people. Sasha will be a sweet wonderful little girl once she gets over her fear of people. She’s really a little doll.
