Size:  15 pounds

Ollie is an 8 month old, 15 lb chihuahua dachshund mix.  A Chiweenie!  Like many dogs found on the street, the beginning of his life was not ideal.  He was rescued by a loving family in November who, like most, just wanted to help a dog in need but knew they could not keep him.  That is how Ollie ended up at Beachfrontmutts Rescue in Long Beach to make sure he could find a forever home and not end up in a shelter.

Ollie is full of playful puppy energy and loves playing fetch, going for walks and playing with other friendly dogs.  He is timid around new people and takes a little bit to warm up but when he does, he is a total sweetheart and loves to snuggle.  He is fearful of new people in the house and will bark at first but with training we are seeing great progress every week!  He is potty trained, crate trained, neutered, and up to date on all his vaccinations.  He would do best in an active home with a fenced yard for him to run around in.  He will also need someone who is patient, willing to invest in training to help him through his fearfulness of strangers.  Not surprising that he’s fearful since he had a rough start on the street.  Continued crate training is important.  He would do great in a home with older kids and/or another dog to play with.  He is a fun little guy and a total love bug that is looking for a home to call his own.

An approved application is required for Ollie’s adoption.
