Mac is obviously not a dachshund. He is a Jack Russell mix and he’s still a puppy. Mac was left in a shopping card in a parking lot on a hot summer day. A good samaritan took Mac in and asked for help from a rescue. We could not pass up these adorable puppies who were in desperate need of help.
So, what have learned about Mac so far? We know he is sweet, lovable, affectionate and high energy. He’s a puppy and he’s part Jack Russell. We don’t know how big Mac will get but he will be a medium size dog.
Mac is in a foster home with 2 highly energetic terrier mixes and they love playing, racing around the yard and then crashing and sleeping when they wear each other out.
Mac get along with other friendly dogs and we’d love for him to be adopted with another playful dog and preferably a yard to play in. If he were the only dog, he would need someone to spend time throwing a ball for him and keeping him busy so he doesn’t get into trouble. Mac is not a fan of going on walks but I think if walks became a regular thing he would learn to love it. Mac is doing well on his housebreaking. He uses a doggie door or goes out if there is an exit for him to get into the back yard.
Mac is neutered, micro chipped and up to date on shots. He may need one more shot after he’s adopted.
