​This beautiful boy is Leo and is a true standard doxie.  He was born in Armenia and brought here with his brother by his owners.  Unfortunately, the owners kept the dogs outside with very little attention and no training.  After 5 1/2 years they decided to give the dogs up.  Leo loves people and is a super sweet dog. Doxies are very affectionate dogs and need the companionship of people.  Because he and his brother were starved for attention, were not neutered, they got into several fights and had to be separated.  All Leo wants is a loving family of his own.  He wants to live indoors not in a back yard.

Now that Leo is neutered, he may eventually be ok with other dogs.  But because of his history, right now it would be safer for him to be an only dog. Because all my foster homes have other dogs, Leo is currently confined to a kennel which makes me very sad.  He deserves a loving family and a home of his own.

Since I took in Leo, he has had all his shots, been neutered and microchipped.
