Sandy is a very nice chiweenie who’s life really started off on the wrong track. Sandy started out in a hoarder situation with lots of other dogs that were not being properly cared for. Animal Control took the dogs to the shelter, another sad experience for Sandy. Then she was adopted by a lady who got her as a companion for her 91 year old friend. But as luck would have it, the old lady just yelled at Sandy all the time. The old lady’s caretakers ended up caring for Sandy until I was contacted and asked to take Sandy out of this fearful sad situation. I normally don’t like to take mixes but Sandy’s story was too awful for me to turn my back on her. Sandy went to my foster home where she showed she was shy and fearful of outside noises when taken for a walk. She walks well on a leash but is startled by unfamiliar noises. All of these things are fixable for Sandy in the right home. I met Sandy and was surprised that she was more outgoing than I expected for a fearful dog. This tells me that Sandy will be a very loving awesome dog in the right home. Sandy just needs time, love and patience to come out of her shell more. I’ve seen many more fearful dogs than Sandy so it won’t take much to bring her around. She’s smart and really wants to be someone’s loving dog. She gets along well with other dogs but has not been tested with cats.
Sandy is spayed and up to date on shots.
