Frank is a beautiful true standard red smooth doxie with big beautiful brown eyes that melt your heart. His owner brought him to the shelter for unknown reasons. Frank is affectionate, seems housebroken, hasn’t had any accidents in the house, he uses the doggie door, loves to go on walks, and loves attention. Frank was just recently neutered by the shelter since the previous owner didn’t bother, so Frank is still a bit interested in other dogs until his testosterone goes down. That should happen in no more than a couple of weeks.
We have only had Frank for a short time so the only thing we do know about him is he doesn’t like little kids. Frank needs an adult only home or a home with teenagers that he can’t mistake for small active children. It’s not unusual that a doxie low to the ground doesn’t like little ones running by them. Franks attaches to a person and really wants a person of his own to love.
With some time and training, Frank will be a fabulous dog. He’s young, trainable and will make a family a wonderful pet for a long time.
Frank is up to date on shots, neutered and micro chipped.
