Daphney is an adorable and unusual wire hair doxie puppy, BUT she is a puppy. Apparently whoever got this cute puppy thought that she would train herself and when she didn’t, and did the normal things that puppies do, her owners decided she wasn’t worth the work that puppies require. So poor Daphney ended up in the local shelter where her life was in danger.
Daphney is a bit shy, a bit cowering in the beginning. But when she likes you, make no mistake, she lets you know it with her happy tail wagging and jumping to say hello. As with all puppies, Daphney needs training and toys to chew on so she doesn’t chew your good shoes. So Daphney really needs a home with someone home with her most of the time willing to give her the time and attention she needs and deserves. She is a playful puppy and I know she would love a home with another small, friendly, playful dog to run and play with.
Daphney learned the doggie door in a matter of hours, is learning to sleep peacefully in her crate at night. She’s a bit of a picky eater but it’s more about the location of her food bowl than the food that’s in it.
Daphney is spayed, up to date on shots, microchipped and ready to start a new and better life than she’s already experienced.
